Who we are

MonsterMoo (monstermoo.io), a kids' daily Math / Chinese / English challenge site. Contact: privacy@monstermoo.io. Postal address: to be published before parent accounts open.

What we collect from your child

• A nickname picked from our generated word list (children cannot type their own)
• An avatar number (from 24 preset monsters) and grade (K–8); optionally a Chinese-reading level
• Learning activity: questions answered, choices, scores, time spent, and the dates and times your child played the daily challenges
• Some practice history and XP are kept only in the browser on your child's device and are not sent to us. The days-completed count is worked out from the daily-challenge dates above; the browser also keeps a copy of the highest count shown. You can view or clear the browser copies on the Your family's data page. (Older MonsterMoo site accounts, signed in with email or Google, also sync per-skill practice progress to our servers.)
• Technical data needed to run the service (session token stored on your device; standard server logs)

What we do not collect

There is no chat between users.

How we use it

Only to run MonsterMoo for your child: show the right level of questions, save progress, compute scores, and send you (the parent) service emails such as consent confirmations. A weekly progress report for parents who opt in is planned but not available yet; nothing is sent today. No advertising, no profiling for ads.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your child's information with third parties. Infrastructure providers that host the service (Cloudflare) process data only on our behalf. The leaderboard is closed: we no longer collect leaderboard scores, and your child's nickname, scores and rank are never shown publicly.

Your rights

At any time you can view, download or delete your child's information on the Your family's data page (/parent/rights.html, password re-entry required), or revoke consent (Parent dashboard → Revoke consent, or the link in our confirmation email). After revocation the account is frozen immediately and your child's information is deleted 25 days after you revoke. Email privacy@monstermoo.io for any request.

How consent works (email plus)

After you sign up we email you a consent link. When you give consent the account becomes active; a day or two later we send a confirmation email with a link to revoke consent.

Retention

Learning records are kept while the account is active. If you revoke consent, they are deleted 25 days after you revoke. Deleting a single child profile on /parent/rights.html removes it within 24 hours.
